Cardiac amyloidosis (CA) is restrictive cardiomyopathy determined by the accumulation of amyloid, which is represented by misfolded protein fragments in the cardiac extracellular space. And it’s often misdiagnosed with other cardiac diseases and echocardiography and CMR cannot reliably distinguish ATTR from AL amyloidosis. Also, the effective therapy methods are still lacking.
Therefore, our strategy is combining the nanobody technology with molecular imaging tracer and molecular scissors to develop a non-invasive detection method for cardiac amyloidosis and amyloidosis plaque removal.
